COVID-19 Measures

COVID-19 Update

Latest Update: 1st October

As local restrictions are introduced in areas like The Midlands, North West and North East of England, we ask our Residents to please ensure they are aware of whether they are impacted by these tighter restrictions. Full details, including boroughs/wards impacted by the restrictions, can be found on the government website local-restrictions-areas-with-an-outbreak-of-coronavirus-covid-19

These restrictions do not prevent you from travelling but they do prevent you from mixing with other households in your house or gardens. This includes within your holiday home as this is your own private space.

Our immediate area is not currently impacted by these additional restrictions.

Localised restrictions have been introduced in areas across the North West & North East of England along with areas within the Midlands. These restrictions state that if you live in one of the affected areas, in order to help prevent the spread of coronavirus, you should not:

  • meet people you do not live with inside a private home or garden, except where you have formed a support bubble (or for other limited exemptions to be specified in law)
  • visit someone else’s home or garden even if they live outside of the affected areas

Your holiday home or tourer classes as your private space so if you live in a restricted area, you cannot invite people to visit you at your holiday home or tourer even for a day visit. Full details can be found here and we have updated our guidance documents below to reflect this.

Update 22nd September

Hi everyone sorry to do this but we've had to introduce new rules again because of the rule of 6 that comes into force on Monday 14th September... please read the information below, also as the test & trace info has to be captured by law we have introduced a QR code for your visitors to scan with there phone and enter there details as all visitors to the site must log in either by QR code or at the office if open.... this is now mandatory in law, we have also now got an NHS test & Trace QR Code that all 10 month residents much check in daily on if you have the app.

You must also remember no more than 6 people in total inc children are allowed to meet indoors or outdoors.

Also now in light of the local lockdowns happening around the country and in nearby Birmingham, Sandwell and Solihull from Tuesday, then if you come to the park from these Lockdown areas you are not permitted to mix with other residents, same as if you were at home, we also do not want visitors from the lockdown areas here at Cotswold Grange, as we have worked extremely hard to keep our official confirmed cases to ZERO!!!

If you are from a local lockdown area or have family in those areas then simply decide are you staying at home or here, not back and forth and strictly no visitors from affected areas please. You are pemitted to go on holiday if only one household... so yes you can visit your caravan just do not mix with others.

These measures are to protect you and your families as well as many of our permanent vulnerable residents.

Remember the new Government slogan
Hands, Face, Space....

The following temporary changes are for the safety of the Permanent residents, local neighbours and our Staff, so please respect this official request to not come to the site and go to any caravan until you have checked in with us at the office.

If you have any COVID-19 Symptoms please follow Government advise and stay home, get a test and stay away from the park.

COVID-19 Update The rule of 6

From Monday 14th Sept 2020 you can still have a limited number of visitors to the park and or your caravan and these amended rules apply, see below….

The government has seen big increases in the spread of the virus in Europe and other countries. With cases increasing in the UK, we all – businesses, individuals, and government – need to take action to suppress the virus.

It is critical that everybody Wash your hands regularly and for 20 seconds and wears face coverings indoors when meeting people who you don’t often meet with.

The government has announced new measures to suppress the virus and keep the number of infections down:

From Monday 14 September, you must not meet with people from other households socially in groups of more than 6. This will apply indoors and outdoors, including in private homes. This change will simplify and clarify the rules on social gatherings, so they are easier to understand and easier for the police to enforce. There will be a limited number of exemptions. COVID-19 Secure venues, such as places of worship, restaurants and hospitality venues, can still host larger numbers in total but groups of up to 6 must not mix or form larger groups. This rule will not apply to individual households or support bubbles of more than 6 who will still be able to gather together. Education and work settings are unaffected, and organised team sports will still be able to proceed, as will weddings and funerals up to 30. From Monday, this limit will be enforceable in law.

It is your responsibility to ensure Visitors to the site or your Caravan comply with the current government guidelines, our park rules and adhere to social distancing, failure to do so could result in you being asked to leave the site. You are responsible for keeping a log of your visitors.

Social distancing still for us remains as 2meters as we cannot mitigate down to one due to the fact, we are a 23 acre fully outdoor site and caravans are a minimum 5 meters apart.

Please limit trips to the shared bin area, this area is the biggest risk for contamination. Use Common Sense. The bins are emptied on Fridays.

Hand Sanitizer dispensers are available by the bins, the main entrance and office.

Please walk round the site adhering to social distancing of 2 meters at all times.

No Parties or Gatherings of more than 6 people of any kind are permitted.

BBQ’s for individual plots are now permitted again limited to 6 people.

Use Common-sense by the riverbank area. (Fishing is permitted but only 6 people at any one time no spectators) You can use boats as normal again no more than 6 people.

We thank you for your understanding and ask you respect these new rules, this isn’t forever and as soon as we get back to normal the better for all of us.

A Common-sense approach is the best way of getting through this.

These rules apply to everyone on the Park.

Please do not invite people to Cotswold Grange Country Park if you feel they have any COVID Symptoms.

Please remember our site is classed as business premises so we have had to have temporary additiaonal amended rules

We look forward to seeing you all here again, and we know these new rules and policies may not be favourable to many of you, but this is to keep everyone safe during this unprecedented time.

We thank you for your understanding and ask you respect the new rules, this isn’t forever and as soon as we get back to normal the better for all of us.

A Common sense approach is the best way to get through these exceptional times so Stay Safe everyone.

These rules apply to all residents on 10 & 12 Month Holiday plots.

Thank you,

Cotswold Grange Country Park.
